瘧原蟲的保護性抗原主要在蟲體表面，統稱表面抗原。在瘧原蟲生活史的發育各期，既有共同抗原，又有期特異性抗原，近年來經研究發現了惡性瘧原蟲和間日瘧原蟲的配子表面的保護性抗原，已證明成熟子孢子體外附著的環子孢子蛋白（Circumsporozoite protein，CSP）具有明顯的抗原性。 紅內期瘧原蟲的不同發育階段，其抗原的質和量均有變化，并可在被寄生的紅細胞膜上表露出來。裂殖子和子孢子均屬游離的瘧原蟲，因此誘導的宿主免疫均較明顯。已知有許多瘧原蟲抗體可作用于裂殖子，使裂殖子凝集，阻止裂殖體釋放裂殖子。裂殖子表面抗原與其侵入紅細胞有關。 |
